ChatGPT o1 – A Step Forward in AI Reasoning

OpenAI has just launched a new version of ChatGPT, powered by their latest AI model, OpenAI o1. This upgrade is designed to address the common shortcomings of previous AI models, such as struggling with math, buggy code generation, and sometimes even "making things up." OpenAI o1 aims to improve in these areas by reasoning through problems in math, coding, and science.

OpenAI o1 model is born

Unlike older versions, OpenAI o1 takes its time to think through problems before responding. In a demonstration, it successfully tackled complex puzzles, high-level chemistry questions, and even helped diagnose medical cases based on detailed reports.

This new model could significantly enhance tools for computer programmers, students, and researchers, offering better support in areas like coding, tutoring, and scientific research. While not perfect, it represents a leap forward in creating AI that can reason logically through multi-step problems.

Available now to ChatGPT Plus and Teams subscribers, OpenAI o1 also achieved impressive results on the International Mathematical Olympiad exam, scoring 83%—a significant jump from the 13% score of previous models.

We tested it for you

We thought a great task to test the reasoning abilities of the new OpenAI o1 model could be:

"Create a detailed plan for building a small solar-powered water filtration system for a remote village. The system should be designed to provide clean drinking water for 50 people, using available resources and affordable materials. Include the steps involved, the necessary materials, and explain how the system will work scientifically."

We aimed to test the model’s ability to:

  1. Break down a complex problem into discrete steps.

  2. Integrate scientific principles (solar energy, filtration, water purification) with practical application.

  3. Reason through constraints like budget, materials, and environment.

  4. Provide a structured, logical solution that includes step-by-step reasoning and explanation.

Our doubts were mainly about how well the model could think through multi-faceted challenges beyond simple Q&A.

Results

The complete results of our prompt are included in a separate document 👇 due to its length. This allows you to assess the quality yourself. We did not observe any significant changes in the model's thought process. The task was executed excellently, with precise calculations and accurate assumptions. But model 4o already did all that. We will experiment with additional tests and provide you with an OpenAI update in a forthcoming issue.

How LinkedIn’s AI Assistant Revolutionizes Ad Creation in Campaign Manager

As digital marketing becomes more competitive, the pressure to create unique and effective ad campaigns has never been higher. Recognizing this need, LinkedIn has integrated AI technology into its Campaign Manager, allowing users to quickly and efficiently create top-tier ads. In this article, we’ll walk you through how to harness this new feature to simplify the ad creation process and ensure your campaigns stand out from the crowd.

Why Use LinkedIn’s AI Assistant?

LinkedIn's AI assistant helps you streamline the creation of ads by providing suggestions tailored to your target audience, business goals, and industry. It takes into account LinkedIn’s vast data pool, suggesting language, formats, and creative elements to maximize your ad's performance.

If you want to try AI assistant help you build your campaign, select Accelerate (Beta)

Now, let’s dive into how to use LinkedIn’s AI to create ads step by step.

Step 1: Access Campaign Manager

Start by logging into your LinkedIn Campaign Manager. This tool is your hub for all things related to LinkedIn advertising. Whether you’re running a small campaign or managing a large-scale marketing effort, this platform offers the flexibility and tools needed to execute a winning strategy.

From the Campaign Manager dashboard, click the “Create Campaign” button. This is where LinkedIn’s AI assistant will begin to guide you through the process. Select the “Accelerate (Beta)” campaign setup option.

Step 2: Set Your Campaign Objective

Once you initiate the campaign creation process, you’ll need to define your objective. Are you trying to increase website visits, drive lead generation, promote video content, or raise brand awareness? LinkedIn AI will use your objective as a foundation for the rest of your ad creation.

Select your objective, and the AI assistant will start suggesting campaign settings and creative ideas optimized for that goal.

Step 3: Define Your Target Audience

LinkedIn’s AI assistant is particularly powerful when it comes to targeting. As you define your audience (industry, job title, company size, location, etc.), the AI will make recommendations based on LinkedIn’s data. If you’re unsure of the best parameters, the AI can suggest a “Smart Audience,” leveraging LinkedIn’s algorithms to identify an ideal target based on past campaigns and user behavior.

This feature helps you avoid guesswork and ensures your ads are seen by the people most likely to engage with your content.

Step 4: Choose Ad Format

Next, the AI assistant will prompt you to select an ad format that best fits your objective and audience. LinkedIn offers several options, such as:

  • Single image ads for brand awareness

  • Carousel ads for showcasing multiple offers or products

  • Video ads for storytelling or promoting specific services

  • Message ads to directly engage prospects with personalized content

Based on your objective and audience, the AI will suggest the most effective format to use, helping to increase engagement and conversions.

Step 5: Create Ad Copy and Visuals with AI Suggestions

Here’s where LinkedIn’s AI shines. When it’s time to craft your ad’s copy and visuals, you’ll receive AI-generated suggestions for headlines, descriptions, and call-to-actions (CTAs). These suggestions are designed to capture the attention of your target audience based on the campaign's goal and format.

If you select a campaigner to promote your website and give its address, AI assistant will create a description

For example, if your objective is lead generation, the AI assistant may recommend action-oriented language, such as “Download now” or “Get your free guide today.” If your campaign focuses on brand awareness, the AI may prioritize emotional and value-driven messaging.

LinkedIn’s AI can also assist with choosing the right visuals. By analyzing successful campaigns in similar industries, it suggests images or video content that resonate with your target audience. If you already have visuals, the AI can suggest edits or enhancements to make your images more compelling.

Review the created ad and make fine-tune changes. Use the “Customise” button to improve the media appearance.

Step 6: Optimize Budget and Bid Strategies

Once your ad content is set, it’s time to optimize your budget and bidding strategy. LinkedIn’s AI provides recommendations based on your campaign goals, audience size, and the competitive landscape within your chosen industry.

You can choose between automated or manual bidding, but AI will typically suggest a strategy that balances cost-efficiency with reach and results, helping you get the most from your budget.

Step 7: Preview and Launch Your Ad

Before hitting the “Launch” button, LinkedIn’s AI will offer a final review of your ad. It assesses potential areas of improvement, from ad copy to target audience, to ensure your campaign is as effective as possible.

Once you’re satisfied with the results, launch your ad! LinkedIn AI continues to monitor the performance of your campaign and provides suggestions for optimizations throughout its run.

Review the created ad and click “Draft 4 more ads” in the upper right corner to make the campaign more efficient.

Step 8: Monitor Performance with AI Insights

As your campaign runs, LinkedIn AI doesn’t stop working. Through performance reports and dashboards, the AI offers real-time insights and suggestions on how to improve your ads. It identifies what’s working, where improvements can be made, and even suggests mid-campaign adjustments to help you meet your objectives.

Conclusion: Let LinkedIn’s AI Do the Heavy Lifting

I hate spending hours on strategy, design, and copywriting when LinkedIn’s AI assistant simplifies the process, and I can do it in minutes! The best thing is, you don't need a LinkedIn Premium account to use the Campaign Manager. It's accessible to all LinkedIn members who want to run paid advertising campaigns. That is why we give it a 5/5 on LMAI scale.

By following these simple steps, you can harness the power of AI to streamline your LinkedIn advertising strategy and reach your business goals faster. Ready to create your next high-performing LinkedIn campaign? Let AI be your guide!
