Welcome to the age of Agentic AI! Build an APP in 10 min
AI is here to stay!
Happy Friday, you beautiful brain-powered machine. 🧠
While you were sipping espresso and dodging meetings, AI quietly ate another chunk of the working world.
This week:
– Salesforce gave half its workload to robots
– Google turned Gemini into a spreadsheet sorcerer
– Goldman Sachs handed every employee an AI assistant (Wall Street bots, baby)
– And I built an actual field app for my company using just one AI prompt — no dev, no drag-and-drop, no drama.
Welcome to the age of Agentic AI, spreadsheet wizards, and “I built this in 5 minutes” flexes.
Let’s get into it.

Salesforce’s AI Army Is Doing Half the Work 🤖
Marc Benioff just casually dropped that AI handles 30–50% of Salesforce’s operations—engineering, service, sales—you name it. They’re calling it Agent Force, and it’s rolling out to 5,000 clients.
The future of “digital employees” is not 10 years away. It’s here.

I Tried Building a Mapping App for my Company with V0 — Here's What Happened
You ever get that itch?
You’ve got an idea for a product, you know it should exist, and you’re ready to move fast…
But then you remember:
“I’m not a developer. I’m an idea guy.”
Yeah. That was me last week.
At my company BIOTA, we needed a simple app:
A clean UI for field workers to collect biodiversity data across different sites and ecosystems. Think: GPS points, photo upload, and a few dropdowns for things like habitat type and location.
Sounds simple, right?
Well, I could either:
Pay a dev €3k and wait 3 weeks
Or try out this hyped-up AI tool I’ve been hearing about: V0.dev
Spoiler: I went with V0. I love to play around with new AI tools, and V0 is a perfect add-on to my collection.
Here’s how it went.
The Vision
My prompt:
“I would like to build a simple mobile application for collecting basic biodiversity data. The app should include a geographic map visualization and a prominent "Add New+" button. When pressed, this button should create a new record in the dataset.
The app should automatically capture the time, date, and geographic coordinates. Additional input fields should allow the user to enter the following: Location name, Observer name, Select a group (e.g., birds, plants, insects), Species name, Upload a photo, Add short notes. The app's design should be clean and minimalistic, inspired by Google’s design aesthetic. The app will be called "BIOTA".
I typed that into V0’s AI builder and hit “Generate.”
Within 30 seconds, it spit out a clean, professional-looking UI. It had all I needed.

First go of V0 on my prompt
I was legit shocked. This looked like something an agency would charge me €3k to deliver.
Getting Hands-On
Okay, now the fun part.
V0 doesn’t just show you the UI. It gives you the actual code — clean, production-ready React + Tailwind.
So I:
Exported the code
Dropped it into a Next.js sandbox on Vercel
Hooked it up to a Firebase backend (just for fun) to log entries
Shared it with a few folks on my team (Beta test)
It worked. On mobile. First try.
I even got a “This is better than what we paid for last time” comment. That one hit nice.
What I Liked
Speed: From prompt to prototype in under 5 minutes
Design: Tailwind + shadcn = sexy UI out of the box
Customizability: You can tweak the code or regenerate new components on the fly
No Blocky Drag-and-Drop: It’s all prompt-based. I say it, it builds it.

Add new record of my app (Desktop version)
Where It Struggles
Now, real talk—V0 isn’t perfect:
It won’t handle backend logic for you. You’ll still need to wire up your database or storage (Firebase, Supabase, whatever).
It can sometimes over-design (you ask for a simple form, you get a landing page with gradients and testimonials 😂).
If you’re picky about layout, you’ll still want to tinker with the CSS.
But for MVPs? For internal tools? For fast concept validation?
It’s 🔥.
The Bigger Picture (aka Why This Excites Me)
IN my company, we’re scaling fast—more sites, more fieldworkers, more data.
Tools like V0 mean we don’t have to bottleneck on devs to build these micro-apps.
We can go from:
“Hey we need a tool to do XYZ in the field.”
To:
“Here’s the beta version. Try it by lunch.”
It’s no-code for people who don’t want to drag boxes.
It’s text-to-tool.
It’s game-changing.
Final Take
I tested V0 for a real-world problem. It worked.
It saved me time, money, and let me ship something usable in hours, not weeks.
If you’re building a startup, running ops, or just need a faster way to test ideas — go try it.
You’ll feel like you hired a designer, a front-end dev, and a product manager... all rolled into one grumpy-but-brilliant AI.
Catch you next build,
—DJ
